Job description:

Key Responsibilities:Pattern Development & Grading
  • Develop accurate patterns for men's apparel (e.g., shirts, trousers, jackets, suits, t-shirts, jeans).
  • Modify patterns based on design sketches, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Grade patterns into different sizes while maintaining fit consistency.
Garment Construction & Fit
  • Ensure patterns align with design intent and production feasibility.
  • Conduct sample fittings and make necessary adjustments for perfect fit and comfort.
  • Work closely with designers and production teams to refine patterns.
Technical & Production Coordination
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical files with pattern specifications.
  • Ensure patterns are production-friendly and optimize fabric utilization.
  • Collaborate with cutting, sewing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
Fabric & Trims Knowledge
  • Understand various fabrics and trims and their impact on fit and construction.
  • Recommend necessary alterations based on fabric properties (stretch, shrinkage, drape).
Software & Manual Pattern Making
  • Create patterns using manual methods and CAD software (Optitex, Gerber, Lectra, or any relevant software).
  • Digitize and modify existing patterns to enhance efficiency.
Quality Control & Compliance
  • Ensure patterns meet quality standards and production tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate records of pattern versions and modifications.
  • Follow industry standards and compliance requirements.
Key Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or Textile Technology.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in pattern making for men’s apparel.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in manual and digital pattern making.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, and grading.
  • Knowledge of men's wear fitting and sizing standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical pattern issues.
  • Experience with CAD software like Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex (preferred).
